started off with the Peranakan wedding section.
we were given this colourful piece of paper that we have to find the stamps for and upon completion, we'll be able to get a souvenir! :D
haha, so we were damn motivated to find the stamps!
first stamp spotted!
taking turns to stamp on the colourful paper :D
we get to stop-and-touch certain objects :D
this is so pretty :D
this is one of the things that the bride/bridegroom has to give to each other's family before marriage.
pig trotter!
everything just looked so traditional.
2nd stamp spotted!
something we inferred on our own - they love mirrors.
their wardrobe, cupboard, whatever, also has mirrors!
the biggest full length mirror spotted! *smiles*
3rd stamp spotted!
like a boss!
like a lady boss!
the Peranakan Jewellery.
look! more mirrors!
and this is their wardrobe.
clothes on the upper-tier; shoes on the lower-tier.
seriously, how is that enough!?
this is the wedding couple bed.
why so small!?
more embroidery along the corridor.
as you can see, dom was the most motivated person among us to wanna collect all the stamps to complete the mission so that we can get our souvenirs!
gf and i were busy snapping pics.
so we left our colourful paper with dom to help us complete our mission. lol.
this is the layout during the tea ceremony.
guess what are these.
initially, i seriously thought they were flower vases!
then dom corrected me and said they're actually SPITTOONS!
lol, totally looked like vases to me can!
aww~ melts.
baby-wear :3
walked on further and we spotted this 'entrance'.
it's such a wrong idea to hang the lamp in the middle of the signboard.
blocks off the words! tsk.
this is kind of scary.
why dont they have any face!?
the chosen one. lol.
these also dont have :s
Oil on Canvas Painting.
so pretty!
more embroideries.
lucky we spotted these!
we saw similar pouches earlier on and dom told us it was for the peranakan women to store their pads.
but looook! it's for specs luh! LoL!
bluff us! tsssk! hahaha!
walking in further and we spotted telephones!
the oldest kind!
this is dom's fav.
this is the modern kind.
everything is sewn on stitch by stitch.
dom said this is zara-inspired coz of the prints. lol.
detailed prints.
this is from left, the oldest kind, to far right, the modern kind.
i think this is prettiest of them all :)
Peranakan family who converted to Catholicism.
the door guards.
dom was telling us all about it.
we listened to him so attentively and went 'wow~ so knowledgeable!'
turned out he was reading it off the info mounted on the wall, just that our backs were facing the info, so we did'nt know! chey! hahaha!
ye said this is just like the one they have in the Little Nonya show!
*gasps!*
the walkway towards it, with dom leading the way.
dont dare to take pics in there.
just walked in and see see, then walked out.
over to the Peranakan dining area!
with dom sitting in. lol.
everything is a full set!
another design, full set.
more pots of different sizes for different usages.
and plates too.
this is the Peranakan kitchen.
highest level, looking down at the lobby.
layout is pretty :D
last part of the museum.
more furniture.
so pretty, i wanna try on a full-set too!
drawings on the walls.
so cute!
showcase of their costumes.
another place that we found, with the olden kind of telephone!
dom's fav.
lol, u can see how excited he was upon spotting his fav telephone. lol.
fringe split.
aiks.
they also have this area where you get to stamp your own card and you get to bring it home! a souvenir for yourself!
dom stamped his, but somehow, it got lost when we stepped away for awhile.
perhaps the security guard threw it away. lol.
gf (:
with our art work.
hehe, i'm so into stamping now, i wanna get a full set!
perhaps i should drop by popular or papermarket to take a look! heh.
happiest photo of the day(though eyes abit small .-.)
scarriest photo of the day!
scares me whenever i see it, even though it's me!
collected all the stamps :D
and this is our souvenir. *chey~ moment*
